Yes, by the 1st of December this year (2021), Australia is opening her borders to fully vaccinated students and skilled workers!
In May 2020, Australia shut its borders due to the infamous pandemic; The Coronavirus.
In other to reduce the effect and spread of the virus, only a few citizens were permitted to enter the country.
The Prime Minister- Scott Morrison, has just announced that re-opening the borders will encourage international travel and boost the country’s economy.
This means that eligible visa holders can enter Australia from December 1, including skilled workers and students.
What this means for international students is applications can begin in hopes of securing admission and possibly migrating afterwards.
- Be fully vaccinated
- Hold a valid visa
- Provide proof of their vaccination status
- Present a negative COVID-19 test taken within three days before departure.
